DiverseWork started as my master's dissertation at Babeș-Bolyai University. I wanted to understand what a hiring platform looks like when it is designed for people with disabilities from the beginning, rather than one that adds accessibility at the end as an adjustment.
What I found should have surprised me more than it did. Romanian law 448/2006 requires companies with over 50 employees to have 4% of their staff be people with disabilities, and those who fall short pay a monthly contribution to the state instead. Most pay. When I actually talked to them, almost nobody told me they did not want to hire. They told me they had no idea where to look, and that their hiring process simply was not built for it.
So I registered DIVERSE WORK HUB S.R.L. in 2025 and started building.
I am an engineer. I studied Robotics and Mechatronics at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, then took a master's in Business Development Management at UBB FSEGA. I work as a .NET developer, currently at Delgaz Grid, on enterprise systems for gas distribution infrastructure. Before that I built healthcare SaaS platforms for the US market.
I build DiverseWork on my own, for now. I write the code, I talk to the employers, and I work with disability organisations who know these people far better than I do. They tell me what actually helps and what is just a box being ticked.
